The Pennsylvania Room maintains a substantial collection of folders dedicated to different topics in local history. Each contains materials ranging from handwritten notes to photos to newspapers, brochures, and other ephemera.
These folders are an excellent place to begin your research on a particular subject or to find a new angle on your topic of interest. Some of the files are very broad (ex. “Bridges,” “Disasters,” “Pennsylvania”), while others are very specific (ex. “Meason House,” “Rand Powder Mill Explosion”). We are always adding to our subject folders and invite our patrons to donate materials or suggest new topics.
All of the subject folders appear in the library’s catalog. A PDF inventory is also available via the link below.
