BEES AND BUTTERFLIES

Bees sting you
but they help flowers.
They collect pollen,
and take it back to their hive.

Butterflies help flowers, too
But they don't sting you,
They are colorful and pretty,
but they don't live in a hive.

BUGS GIVE HUGS
IN BIG MUGS

There were two bugs,
Who lived in a mug,
They would work all day,
And at night they would play,
They ate dinner each night,
Without ever a fight,
Then they would wash their feet,
And make themselves neat,
So when they said goodnight
with a hug,
And jumped onto their rug,
They were just two happy
bugs in a mug.

A Haiku by: Ayla Nolan

A Haiku is a Japanese poem. It deals with only nature and
its beauty. This particular kind of poem has three lines.
Lines one and three have five syllables. Line two has
seven syllables. Here is mine:

Tich, tich, tich, tich, tich
The assassin looks for prey
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum
