Summer Program 2009 Fun Facts:

• A total of 524 children signed up for the summer program this year
• The number of beads in the jar for the math contest was 2,220
• 275 children earned certificates for free books from the book fair, compliments of the Friends of the Uniontown Library
• 613 chldren entered the drawing to win Polly the Polar Bear

• Children in the summer program read a total of 4,002 books in eight weeks!
• 520 children entered the math contest

• 1,210 hidden paint brushes were found
• 667 children entered the contest to win "Franklin the Turtle"
• 879 children played the "I Spy" game
• Children from 29 different towns and townships joined us for the program: Addison, Brownfield, Brownsville, Carmichaels, Chalk Hill, Charleroi, Connellsville, Dunbar, East Millsboro, Farmington, Grindstone, Haddentown, Hopwood, Keisterville, Lemont Furnace, Masontown, McClellandtown, Menallen Twp., Merrittstown, Mill Run, Moon Twp., Mt. Braddock, New Salem, Ohiopyle, Pittsburgh, Smock, Smithfield, Uniontown, and Vanderbilt
