What Can We Help You Find?

If you can’t make it into the library, you can still renew your books, browse our collections, and view recommended links from anywhere by using the following online resources:

Search the Catalog

The collection at the Uniontown Public Library and other libraries in the Washington and Greene Greater Information Network (WAGGIN) may be searched via the button below. Please be aware that the Catalog is not hosted on our website, so you will be redirected to an outside website for the search.

On the Catalog search page, a “Help” button is available in the navigation bar for in-depth assistance. Here are some of our top tips for using the Catalog:

Tips for Searching

The “Search By” dropdown lets you choose whether you are searching by the Author’s Name, the Title, or even the material’s ISBN. “Any Field” is the default and will search every field for the keyword you’ve entered.

The “Limit By” dropdown lets you choose the material type you are searching for, such as a Book or DVD. For example, if you only want to see Large Print books, you may select “Large Print” from the dropdown. “All Formats” is the default and will search all material types.

For the broadest search, simply type in the name of the item you’re looking for and click Go!

Tips for Navigating Search Results

Use the blue Find It button to see where the item is available and how it is shelved at the library.

“Local Availability” indicates whether or not the Uniontown Public Library owns a copy of the item. “System Availability” indicates whether or not any library in the WAGGIN system owns a copy. If the item you want does not appear in the search results, you might be able to order it from a library outside of our network via Interlibrary Loan.

If you have too many results, you may narrow the list by using the check boxes in the lefthand column. For example, you might choose to only see books published in 2015 by checking the “2015” box under the Publication Date label. Likewise, you might choose to only view books held by the Uniontown Public Library by checking the “Uniontown Public Library” box under the Owning Library label.
